I'm very excited to show you these photos that Max took of me last Friday. He flew here from Hong Kong and wanted to have a shoot with me after seeing some of my photos. I highly recommend you to check out his website which I linked above, his work is phenomenal! Unfortunately the shoot was a bit rushed as I had to hurry back soon to get ready for Ministry of Sound, and I was also freezing to my bones, but I'm amazed at how the photos turned out despite the cold. What do you think about them? ♥
Dress is c/o AX Paris, sandal heels are from Zara and black pump heels are from Primark.
Hey! I recently ordered some goodies from ASOS, since they had a sale going on. I'm recently a much more careful shopper, so all of these were sort of anticipated and needed! The bag was actually half price on sale, and I'm SO happy with it! It has a very practical shape, so that it looks like a mini bag but there is a lot of space inside it. Perfect for summer when I'll be wearing pastel/light colored outfits! You can get it here. Brown leopard print sunglasses have, like, officially been "my thing" for years, and since my last Mango pair broke, I started searching for new ones. With these ASOS ones that only cost me 12£, how could I go wrong? Last, but not least, since I'm more into accessories lately, I decided to purchase a new statement necklace. This one is super simple, yet stylish and cost around 15£. I can imagine I'll be wearing it a lot! Here's the link for it. ♥
Library is officially my new home, yep. The last few days I've been there literally from the morning til around midnight..today I managed to finish off around 9PM so I actually did some fun (!!!) things for once, such as try wedding dresses with my neighbor May (don't freak out - we're talking potential photoshoots and stuff), made some actual food (a nice change from the ready-made sandwiches and bacon chips the library shop offers) and tidied my room a little.
Tomorrow I've got my accounting exam and after that I can breathe - a little! After the exam I'll be heading straight to a photoshoot with a guy that flew here from China for a few days, then I'll be going to London (Ministry of Sound club), and catching the first train back. On Monday I have to deliver a presentation for my Retail Operations module, after which I can breathe FOR REAL. Can't wait, because I've been studying sooo much the last week and it's really making an impact on my physical well-being, as well as my normal life such as the blog.
This is what I wore on Saturday when I went to town! It has been nice to get back to uni and see all my UK friends, however these two first weeks are going to be super stressful, and even when I'm done with them, my exams will soon follow after that. However I will do my best to keep you guys updated! ♥
Hey guys, I got back to the UK yesterday and felt way too tired to blog. It was VERY strange to be back on campus and the halls after a month long holiday. I have some assignments coming up, so it will be a bit stressful, but I will not worry about that today! Today I'll run some errands (grocery shopping, bank, phone stuff...) and hopefully get my outfit photos taken as the weather is nice and sunny. By the way, how do you like the photos above? This was actually one of the outfits of my photoshoot but I asked Tina to take some special blog photos of me in this outfit. I love the way she did my hair! :)
Have a nice day, and I'll hopefully get back to regular update soon ♥
Yesterday after my second photoshoot with Tina she quickly took some photos of my outfit before I hopped onto the bus! I was in a big rush and didn't know what to wear, so I took this striped top which literally went down to my knees and cut it.. as you can see I'm not exactly the world's best cutter, but I guess we all have to start somewhere, right?! The bag and sunnies are courtesy of Romwe, I'm also wearing my newest Zara jeans (I've a massive obsession with black skinny jeans and these are perfect - then again how many times have I said that?), and as I wanted to be comfortable after my shoot in heels I took my glitter black Vans. By the way, I guess it's very obvious that good weather makes me happy :)))
I've been dying to receive this AWESOME leopard print wallet from Chicwish and I am so happy to finally own it (remember when I said that my current wallet is really worn out?). This one's absolutely perfect in every single way. They actually still have it in stock so if you're interested to look at it, here's the link. I think they have a black one too!
I don't shop very often in the beauty departments, but I'm sort of constantly conscious of the wellbeing of my hair, so I thought I'd try some new products, such as this Yes to Carrots hair conditioner and this hair balm from Lush. The way it works is that you need to rub the balm into the ends of your hair and it's meant to protect them or at least make them look nice for the time being. It does its job quite well, however I put a bit too much in my hair today and it was slightly too greasy looking, so watch out. Since I'm a big lip balm girl, I couldn't resist this Yes to Carrots lip balm which smells like berries, it's absolutely amazing and the price was very good too!
Have you tried any of these products and what do you think about them? I'm certainly thinking of going to Lush more often! ♥
Today I had an awesome photoshoot with my good friends Tina and Kaori! Afterwards I asked Tina to kindly take some photos of my outfit, because I've been dying to show you this awesome pink faux leather skirt I got recently! It's absolutely perfect as it has pockets (those who know me best, know that I don't know what to do with my hands otherwise :P) and it even has sewn in shorts underneath in case the skirt shows a little too much. Perfect solution for every girl, why don't they do this for all skirts?!
I had some problems during the shoot due to my eyes, again those who know me better know that my eyes are very sensitive and get irritated sometimes, so it was VERY difficult to keep my eyes open in the sun :( Anyway, I can't wait to see the results of the actual shoot, unfortunately I can't show them before they've been published in the magazine though! ♥
Yes, I do complain about fashion bloggers only writing about the weather, and yes, I indeed do the same #sorrynotsorry. Today the weather was perfect, and it actually feels like summer! Just a week ago it snowed on a night out, and now it's over 20 degrees, yay! The next week will be my last week in Luxembourg, and I need to run quite a few errands before leaving..it always gets stressful during the last week! I'm also studying for accounting every day now, quite annoying to have to do it in this awesome weather!
As you can see, I've still got the velvet skirt, and no I haven't changed it yet, I actually managed to secure it with the belt for this post. Without the belt it is pretty tragic, I don't even know how they could be so big when they are such a normal size, so I definitely have to change them tomorrow, I'm just hoping I will find a size that fits me, because they are just oh-so-perfect. The above knuckle ring is one of the gifts I got in my AX Paris goodie bag and I'm super glad that I did, because it fits so well and feels very simple and delicate. It comes from a brand called Bohemian Collective and you can buy it here for 12 pounds.
After the Motel Rocks press day event me and Kaori headed to a club called Circus where AX Paris and Etail PR were holding a circus themed event to celebrate their new TV advert. As you can see in the photo above, there were performances of fire breathers, people doing all sorts of crazy things on a hola hoop hanging in the air, and so on. They also hosted a raffle with amazing prizes, unfortunately me and Kaori didn't win anything :( We got to check out their new collection and it was great to see all the items in real life, I was very impressed by all the dresses, because they consisted of great materials, amazing prints and very nicely fitted shapes! I also got to meet Leanne Lim Walker, who you might know from youtube or her blog. The goodie bag was huge and full of amazing surprises, everyone's favorite was probably the Ryan Gosling coloring book (I posted a picture of it on my instagram here, in case you're wondering). I had a great time at the event, I even met the people who work at AX Paris, such as Alex who always e-mails me about sending me clothes (so strange to finally put a face to the name after more than a year of cooperation!) as well as one of their models who looked stunning in real life and totally made me want to buy the dress she was wearing. Thanks so much to Etail PR and Ax Paris for inviting us! ♥
It's finally Friday, and actually my last real Friday in Luxembourg so I'm hoping to go out tonight and have fun! I also wanted to show you some of my latest purchases, at least a few of them! I was looking for this top in a few other shops before but never really felt like paying 20£ for something so simple, so it was a nice surprise to find it in Primark for only 3,50£ ! I bought this skirt today to go along with the top because I really wanted to wear it out tonight, and took the size I would usually take, plus it looked like it would fit me (I've quite a trained eye for spotting things my size, usually at least!), but when I got home it turned out to be too big, in a really uncomfortable way. Who wants high-waisted skirt that keeps falling down to your hips? Not quite sure right now if I should return it or sew it in and wear it tonight! Last item in this post is this Primark statement necklace, what I love about it is that it incorporates chains of different colors, making it easier for me to mix silver with rose gold in my accessories :) It was about 4-5£, I believe. Anyway, I'm off now, so sorry for the rushed post! Have a great Friday night ♥
