Estelle & Thild

Hey there! Long time, no see. This will be my first ever (!!!) beauty review so I'm quite nervous actually and will certainly try to do my best. A while ago Urban Retreat sent me these two products from Estelle & Thild - a Swedish eco-organic skincare brand. The owner actually came up with name of the brand thanks to the names of her daughters, so cute :)))
I am quite a face cream fanatic as my skin can get really annoying at times. Usually after washing off my make-up with a make-up remover, it doesn't matter whether it is oil based or watery or creamy or whatever - my skin will always feel quite sore and sensitive afterwards, so face cream is kind of a must in my case. I really liked this one from Estelle & Thild as it was VERY soft and skin friendly, plus you didn't need too much of it for a full coverage. In the photo above I even had a little bit too much, so you can imagine that this cream won't be finished anytime soon. Another thing I liked is that it wasn't very oily which I find is a big problem when I apply face cream because then I can't really go outside, haha. Here you can see how it looked on my skin - as I said it does not look oily at all and I could immediately feel my skin getting softer. The product is quite pricey (£29.50), at least for me as a student, but I honestly think that for what it does and is, the price can be justified!

Positives

- pretty design
- leaves skin feeling soft
- don't need much for full coverage
- smells nice

Negatives

- the price

The second product is this lip balm (£14), I received the "natural" one, however they also had some colored ones. I'm amazed by the amount of natural ingredients in this, a few examples are beeswax, shea butter and jojoba oil. This is actually the first time that I'm trying a product which is a lip balm and lip gloss in one go, so I didn't really know what to expect as I'm not a big fan of lipgloss generally.
I applied the lip balm around 3-4 hours ago for the photos and it's still there pretty much the same as before, which is super impressive! I wear lip balm all the time, every single day and usually I need to reapply it really soon as my lips are quite dry, so this was definitely a huge advantage in my point of view.

Positives

- long lasting
- makes my lips soft
- not sticky
- easy to apply

Negatives

- could be more scented for my taste

Overall I LOVED both products and it was definitely difficult to think critically about what to put in the "negatives". They work very well for my type of skin and I had absolutely no complaints. The prices are quite steep for me but if they prove to be absolutely amazing in the long term, I can see myself purchasing these items again, rather than the usual hit-and-miss products which make you waste a lot of money.

PS. I can understand that for some of you the Cosmo Blog Awards is the elephant in the room at the moment, so I thought I could update on that quickly. I did not win, but I'm super happy for those who did! What Olivia Did won in my category and she more than deserved it. I got to meet a lot of amazing people but didn't actually take any photos, so I might wait a bit to collect pics from the event for a proper blog post.
