Funky Disco Pants

Because my last outfit post was very classic and black&white, I decided that for the next post I need to funk it up and bring some colors into my outfits! I got these green disco pants quite a while ago actually, along with some black disco pants from another store - a post with those will be coming up too!
I remember a few weeks ago I wore these disco pants to town in Luxembourg once - not with this outfit, but in a really simple way actually - black ballet flats, black Jack Daniels shirt tucked in and a white tote bag. For some reason EVERYONE was staring and I really wondered whether they have never seen a person wear green pants before? I'm quite annoyed at Luxembourg sometimes in the way that a lot of people are so shy and modest with expressing themselves through clothing and I must admit that every time I go back I somehow adapt to it and find myself dressing differently than in the UK or Latvia. Don't get me wrong though, Luxembourg is an amazing country and I love living there, it's just that one thing which can irritate me sometimes.
I think generally disco pants are really amazing as they can be worn in many different ways and they are so shiny that they are pretty much a statement item on their own.

Summer B/W

What can I say..even during the summer I find ways to stick to my classic all-black or b/w looks. Today was no different. Except, I could potentially blame it on my bad mood today since I feel so sick and tired. Yesterday was a good day though. I went for a drink with Yvan Rodic (aka Facehunter), a drink that turned into like 5 and a half hours of (non-alcoholic) drinks, photo-taking, dinner, extra dinner, haha. He's really funny and had a lot of stories to tell after all that travelling and working - it was great to have some insight into how someone super busy and well known lives. We posted a few goofy photos on my instagram, if anyone's curious.
I wore this outfit today for lunch at a sushi place with my family and to the mall after. It was kind of a last minute throw-on thing but I really just wanted to be comfortable and black always works! ..After trying to think of what else I could possibly say about this super simple outfit, I give up. As you can see, it's just one of those days. Goodnight! ♥

WISHLIST | My Favorite Sale Finds Under 50£

If you walk around town, you will probably notice that the sales are becoming more and more boring as all the good stuff is snatched away - all that remains are items that are 10 sizes too big or that are severely damaged. However, if you look at online shops, the sales are actually only getting better! Prices are low and selections are quite large, which is why I went kind of online-shopping crazy today, without actually buying anything (unusually high amount of discipline and self-control). Anyway, I decided to share this wishlist for you with some great deals that I found!

First of all, aren't those pink Dr Denim jeans FABULOUS?! I've been wearing Dr Denim jeans for years now and have always wanted a pink version - they might not suit ALL of your clothes, but combined with a black strappy top and those ASOS black sandals it would make the perfect outfit for a night out. The website that links to the Dr Denim jeans actually offers quite a few pairs of Dr Denim jeans on sale, some even as low as £22, hello?!
I don't know if you have noticed, but lately I have slowly, but surely become more of a jewelry person - I've been especially keen on rose-gold colored jewelry, as well as earrings with big colored stones as the ones above.
That Topshop bralet actually comes from the underwear section, but I think it would make the perfect evening outfit if I paired it with the white Motel skirt in the picture and a black or a white blazer.
I know a lot of people are crazy about The Ragged Priest (they do have some amazing things!) so I thought it was a great deal to find these shorts on sale in ALL sizes! Nevertheless, the price is still quite high - I'm not sure I'd pay that much for a pair of shorts however if I won some kind of ASOS giftcard, I would definitely purchase them ;).
I think the Rare LBD speaks for itself. It's so simple and versatile, the price is great too (compared to original price of £55). Generally I love dresses by Rare, I already have a red backless one with the gold chains - it's absolutely perfect!

Hope you enjoyed my wishlist :) I also linked all the items for you and I made sure they are available in almost all sizes! ♥

Summer Daydreams pt. 1

Photos by Christine Xuan

Here are the first results of my recent shoot with Tina. We drove to pretty much one of the only lakes in Luxembourg for these photos and it was really amazing for a location! The pink maxi dress I got c/o Chi Chi and the top and shorts are both my sister's.
Those who follow me on Instagram or Twitter might already know that I arrived to Latvia yesterday. It's great to be back after one year of absence. Some things have changed here and some have stayed the same. I haven't got too lucky with the weather - they had a heatwave for like a MONTH before and just before the day that I arrived the weather flipped and now huge rain/wind storms are a norm and there's only like (maximum) 18 degrees out. It makes me want to cry when I look at the weather forecast of Luxembourg and UK for the next week (pretty much 30 degrees every day).
Anyway, I will try to get back to normal posting ASAP.

Lightning Top

Today I just ran some errands and went to town with my little brother. For an 8 year old, a whole trip to the post office and then to the frozen yoghurt cafe in town is a huge adventure! It was one of those hot days where the sun was not always present, so I actually went for some darker clothes than I normally would in this heat. The lightning top, which I received from Chicnova, is really versatile actually, and I love how the edges of the top have no stitching! A styling tip: if you feel that your outfit is perhaps a little bit too simple, use some lipstick! (that's what I did here..if it wasn't already obvious :P)
In a couple of days I'm going to Latvia and I'm sort of stressing out in terms of my blog - with my recent Cosmo nomination I've been involved in quite a few collaborations recently, and I really hope everything arrives on time. I also won the Vouchercodes Swap Shop Blogger Challenge so I will receive the 200£ Zara giftcard, all thanks to you guys! I am really thankful for all the people who read my blog, comment, vote for me in competitions and stuff, I really wouldn't be where I am without you! Some of the opportunities I've been getting lately have been absolutely crazy, I actually honestly don't know what I would be doing in my life right now if I didn't have a blog. (it's a crazy thought!)

PS. Is my 8 year old brother an amazing photographer or what?!
PPS. Thanks for the sweet comments on my Photobomb post - I am glad you understand where I am coming from and that you're excited to see those kind of posts :)
PPPS. Please help my dream come true and vote for me in the Cosmo Blog Awards here. All you have to do is go on the 3rd category (Best Established Fashion Blog), select my name and keep clicking "Next Page" until you reach the end, where you need to submit your name / e-mail for the vote to be valid. Motel Playsuit

Last night I went to a friend's birthday party and had a few drinks at Amalie's place prior to that. I had just received my new Motel Rocks playsuit that I ordered some time ago and was eager to wear it. It seems like the perfect party piece - not too much skin, yet still quite sexy and elegant. The photos above are taken by my 8 year old brother which would explain why the photos look like taken from down under, the blue car in the background and also the mailbox in couple of shots (he got tired so he rested on our mailbox while clicking pics..poor fella :D) - nevertheless, he is one good little photographer! I actually took the photos today, so I had messy/greasy hair and the clothes were wrinkled and smelled of smoke, haha. Below I posted a photo of me and Amalie for you to see exactly how I looked yesterday (without the sunnies as the sun had gone down already)!

Cosmopolitan UK Blog Awards 2013

The craziest thing happened yesterday! I've been shortlisted for the Cosmopolitan UK Blog Awards as "Best Established Fashion Blog" and my competition includes some of my favorite blogs like What Olivia Did, Lulutrixabelle, Thunder and Threads and even Kaori (congrats giiiirl)! This Blog Awards competition is HUGE and I feel so honored to be shortlisted.

Honestly guys - my blog is my baby, and I've been working on it very hard during the last few years, so it feels absolutely amazing to have been shortlisted as one of the 13 people in this category (out of 43,000 entries!!!!) This whole thing is absolutely new to me and I honestly don't expect to win the actual thing, but it would still mean the world to me if you guys voted. I also didn't expect to be shortlisted, but I still applied and you voted for me and we made this happen! :) Thanks so much to everyone who voted and made this dream come true to me ♥

I would really appreciate if you voted for me, it will only take a few minutes of your time but will make my whole day. Click on the image above - it will take you to the voting page. If you only want to vote for my blog, click "Next Page" until you reach category 3 for Best Established Fashion Blog, my blog is listed simply with my name, so it's Kristiana Vasarina. Click on the name and then keep clicking next until you reach the last page where you need to enter your name + e-mail, and then click on Submit. Now I'm pretty sure the vote doesn't count if you don't complete that last section, so please don't forget! If you also want to vote for other bloggers on the way (there's so many categories!), I'm sure they would appreciate that too - I already found so many cool new blogs thanks to this!

AAAH, need to go jump around for a while, over & out.

Aztec Midi Dress

Heyhey! You may recall my post with an aztec midi skirt a while ago - I mentioned that I'm very keen on the midi trend, however I wanted to start slowly, which is why I first wore a skirt. I also mentioned that I'd like a midi dress which I could wear on nights out, so when OMG Fashion contacted me to try out their midi dresses, I immediately jumped at the chance! I decided to go with this aztec patterned dress, as I feel it's very fun and young! The fitting is perfect and I'm quite impressed with the quality, especially when compared to the very low price - the website offers quite a lot of cheap midi dresses, all different in their own way :)
I paired the dress with accessories that would make the outfit perfect for partying as well as just a nice dinner date on a summer evening. No make-up and messy hair, that's what summer's all about for me! What do you think about this look? I'm looking forward to hearing your comments! :)

They Say I'm Caught Up In A Dream

Heyhey! Yesterday I met the girls and we had a lovely day at the park, dinner at Vapiano and drinks at Konrad. Somewhere between all that me and Heleret managed to do a little photoshoot for each other. We used my camera with the standard lens, but lately I've been experimenting more with the manual settings (Automatic settings used to be my best friend) and I also started enjoying using color "curves" when editing photos so I think the photos look a lot nicer than usual. I obviously still have a lot to improve on, but it's not like I want to become a photographer, haha.

It's been a while since I posted any music on my blog, so I thought I could give you some songs that I've been listening to quite a lot lately (start the very first song at 1:10 to skip intro). Hope you like!
