WILDFOX

Wildfox Dance all night sleep all day Last Sunday when my friend May came over, we decided to shoot something quite different for my blog, less fashion and more of a "home" setting where we were just trying to portray a girly day spent relaxing at home. Bare in mind that we did put a lot of emphasis on "girly" and I do not spend all day making selfies of myself pouting, ha! I do, however, spend a lot of time on my laptop while drinking tea from my awesome pink Ikea cup. Comfort is of prime importance while I'm at home so I usually wear some simple Topshop cotton leggings and a baggy sweater, such as this beautiful Wildfox Dance All Night sweater. Typically to UK homes, mine is also quite cold most of the time but this sweater keeps me very warm despite the thinness of the material, which is a great bonus!
Baring in mind that the light was very bad and it was actually almost evening (after 5PM) I think May did a fantastic job, as she always does when it comes to photography! :) It's funny how dark my hair looks in this light setting.

SKY BLUE

Kristiana Vasarina Kristiana Vasarina

Boots - Faith c/o StyleChi
Sweater - c/o Fashion Union
Phonecase - ASOS (here
Coat - ASOS (here & here)
Skirt - Bershka (similar)
Necklace - ZARA

It is no secret that pretty pastels will be BIG this upcoming Spring/Summer and I have fallen head over heels in love with light blue (although I do really like lavender and mint too). First came the coat, then came the countless sweaters, and before I know it, my outfits are less of black and more of color. You are in for a big surprise in some of my next posts, forget the girl who only wears black and white, ha!

On a different note, I am quite ill so I've been drinking tea and cough syrups like crazy. My phone is quite ill too, or should I say, mentally ill.. I swear, it's got a mind of its own and has forgotten who the boss is. No but really, switching off every 1-2 minutes? Going from 38% to 5% and then to 54% in a time frame of 5 minutes? While I'm in the middle of writing an e-mail? Ugh. Going to London to get that sorted tomorrow! Also hoping to do something else there so it's not just a brief visit, so let me know if you know of any good press days or events! XO

HIGH END WISHLIST

As a student without a part-time job, I usually tend to shop on the high street and student discount is my best friend. My closet is full of items from ASOS, Zara, Topshop and similar.. When I'm a millionaire the wardrobe situation will be a little bit different, for sure! I decided to step away from the usual topics that my blog focuses on and created a little wishlist consisting of high-end items that I really wouldn't mind having. The first one is THAT Givenchy bag... If I do ever decide so save up for a designer bag, this one is a very likely candidate. Ever since discovering Alexander Wang and getting a knock-off Rocco Duffel bag, I've been increasingly drawn in by the minimalistic items that the brand offers. I absolutely love this sweatshirt and the drawstring pants, which would look amazing paired together! Although buying a good pair of designer sunglasses has been on my to-do list for years, I've never actually found a pair that I really wanted (except for the sold out Celine Audrey version that is no longer available as new, smaller models have come in stock), but these Prada sunglasses look quite amazing and come at a relatively good price! I definitely need to try them on sometime. Never been a big watch person but I would really want to own a watch that was worth keeping your whole life and maybe even passing onto your children. Womens Cartier watches are definitely way out my budget, but this one does look absolutely amazing. If you're the kind of person who prefers Rolex watches, you can't even purchase them online, but actually need to go to the showroom, crazy right? Those of you who who follow Ashley Madekwe (Ashley from Revenge) on Instagram or her blog will have probably noticed that she pretty much only wears these Saint Laurent Jane leather heels. They are incredibly high and lack a platform, but I'm sure if I owned a pair, I'd wear them every day too. While browsing items for this post, I couldn't help but notice these printed monochrome Kenzo culottes! There's something about laid back and loose shorts that make them super versatile, whether you want to dress smart with a blazer or with a simple T-shirt on a warm summer's day. The last item on my wishlist and the one I will most likely own sometime soon is this Michael Kors wallet! Very simple but practical, plus I have been obsessed with black and gold combination for a very, very long time... ♥

THE BEANIE

Whilst I am generally very keen on accessories, hats are not something that I incorporate in my daily wardrobe too often. Don't get me wrong, I do love hats in all shapes and colors but I just never seem to find any that suit me. A few days back ASOS surprised me in the morning with a nice package containing this beanie and a note - they really are the sweetest! I absolutely love the hat and it keeps my head warm, which is an absolute necessity during these windy weeks.
Today my friend May came over and we took the opportunity to shoot some photos for outfit posts, etc. Tomorrow I'm taking her to a Vouchercodes.co.uk party with me, exciting!

PS. This short post has taken me WAY too long to write, as I am simultaneously watching the finale of Prison Break season 1, which is INTENSE.

NEW IN: Trousers

I think we have all established that I have an unhealthy obsession with all things ASOS, so let's not get all surprised here! I don't know about you, but I am one of those people who are forever looking for the right pair of pants or jeans, and just can't seem to find something that fits right and lasts long. The biggest problem for me has always been black skinny jeans because they fade way too quickly! Last week I decided to finally purchase these 2 pairs that I've been eyeing for a while. The ankle grazer denims are the perfect fit and feel incredibly comfortable! The material is very soft, yet sturdy and the color looks great in real life. I wore them yesterday with my new ASOS booties (here) - yet another cheeky sale purchase, which you might see in an outfit post sometime soon!
Now, onto the black trousers! I found these to be the perfect balance between something you can wear in your daily life and something you could potentially wear to a work interview. The fit, once again, is just perfect - I got them in UK6 based on the info about the model (who looks about my size, wears UK8 but is 10cm taller). Both pants show a little bit of ankle which is lovely when paired with some nice heels!

Get the denim ankle grazers here, and the black zip trousers here

SLOGAN T-SHIRT

Photos by May Chan

Finally I am back with an outfit post! This is a bit of a picture heavy post, so make sure you click to see the rest of the photos, as well as the outfit details! I wore this combination (minus the heels) for like 3 consecutive days, which is very unlike me, but I simply had no time or ideas for anything else. I figured it was about time to show it on the blog. Adding a blazer to any look will instantly smarten it up, which is great if you are wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans. While shooting these photos with May, it was really windy and we were both freezing (hence the red nose and hands) and today I had to stay in bed because I caught a cold :( #bloggerproblems #sacrifice
Tomorrow is quite a busy day for me, with business law lectures/tutorials, group meetings and a blogger event in London at the evening, so I really need to get better! I hope that you like this outfit and the item details are at the bottom of the post. Enjoy! ♥

15 FACTS ABOUT ME Vol. 2

1. At home I only eat vegan food but when I eat out I usually go for non-vegan dishes. Things like animal milk, butter, eggs or meat don't exist on my shopping list!

2. I rent a house with 1 girl and 3 guys. I'm currently losing on the taking-out-the-bin tally chart.

3. I find it difficult to justify spending money on clothing items that are not black. This is true especially for shoes - I keep telling myself that another shoe purchase won't hurt as long as they are black (#classic #timeless #longterminvestment duh)

4. I've driven 6 different types of cars. 4 of those were driving school and exam centre cars! I'm glad I no longer have to drive manual gear, because, although I could handle it just fine, it feels so much better driving automatic.

5. The only color that I EVER paint my toenails is blood red. It has become such a deep habit that I simply can't paint them any other color.

6. I watch(ed) American Horror Story, The Following, Pretty Little Liars, Breaking Bad, The Mentalist, Criminal Minds, The Carrie Diaries, Hannibal, How I Met Your Mother, New Girl, The Vampire Diaries, 2 Broke Girls, Modern Family, Girls, Big Bang Theory, 666 Park Avenue, Prison Break, Dragon's Den, 90210, The Lying Game, The Apprentice, True Blood, Originals, Ravenswood, Revenge, Awkward, Hart Of Dixie, Two and a Half Men, America's Next Top Model and at least 5-10 more shows that I probably forgot to mention. I never actually realized I had a problem until I just wrote this list.....

7. 2013 was the worst year of my life. I lost my sense of self and started developing characteristics that I never expected to have. Still in the process of improvement, but I am slowly starting to feel better!

8. I don't answer to people who, for some reason, call me Kristina in their e-mails, even if it comes from a very big company.

9. My favorite dogs are definitely pitch black pugs. Once the time is right, I will definitely get my own dog!

10. Out of the well-known people that I've had the chance to meet, the best experience was when I met Sammi from The Beauty Crush, whose humbleness changed my perspective in many ways!

11. I have a pretty big OCD when it comes to recycling, and have a very weird habit of keeping some random carton postage box (currently a Zalando one) in my room until it fills up with recycling paper and other materials, before actually throwing it in the bin. This is because I am too lazy to go to the recycling bin every single time that I have something new to recycle!

12. Although, regrettably,  I do neglect my blog due to personal reasons quite often, starting a blog is definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made and I don't see myself quitting this blog in the near future.

13. When I was 11, I had a very unhealthy obsession with the band Tokio Hotel. My favorite pastime was buying magazines that contained photos of them and sticking them into my Tokio Hotel folder. Ahh, memories.

14. My worst subjects in school were philosophy and gym! It was very difficult to motivate myself to study for a subject that I have absolutely no interest in. And gym, well..let's just say that I can barely walk up the stairs.

15. When I was 15, I thought this was a good look:

(although I do feel proud about cutting and maintaining my own fringe)

This was, in fact, meant to be another 25 Facts post, however after sitting here for about an hour and not getting any ideas, let's just call it 15! I'm obviously very tired now, haha. I will probably do more posts like this in the future, as you guys seem to enjoy them :)

LATELY #2

Yet another post with my latest goodies! Materialistic things do make you feel great, if only for a short while, but still. The first thing I wanted to show you were these ankle boots by Faith that the lovely Emma from Style Chi sent me. Style Chi is an online webstore that offers items from brands like River Island, Wildfox, Cheap Monday and more. The point of the site is that you sign up and earn points by liking/sharing the various items. The more you like/share, the lower will the prices get! It's also great that just by signing up you already get a massive discount. For example, originally these shoes were £65 but after signing up and earning lots of points they would now retail to me for around £44. Once you add the item to your shopping bag, the price goes down even more, yet again. The points stay there permanently..think of it as a "level" that you have reached. This is definitely a website that I will be using in the future because it really is a lot cheaper and I wholeheartedly recommend it!
A while back I decided to start looking into fashion & beauty books. I spent almost half of my teenage life reading books but during the last few years I never found the time to read for leisure anymore. I'm eager to get back into the habit, but this time I decided to avoid the detective or mystery books but rather read some easy reads, such as beauty or blog tips. This book by Lauren Conrad was long on my radar so I decided to finally get it. Not the biggest Victoria's Secret customer here, but I also couldn't resist the smell of this Pure Seduction body cream! The silver Necklace is from Bershka and retails at about £20, whereas the other necklace comes from Zara and I got it for £30. Those who travel back and forth from UK to other countries, I would suggest you buy it in Euros as when I went to Luxembourg I saw it retailing for 30EUR.. Kind of ruins it, ha. Anyway, the necklace is absolutely amazing and I've been wearing it almost daily!

Do you like these kind of posts? I will try to be back with outfit posts ASAP!

OVER THE HILLS SO FAR AWAY

Sweater - c/o Love, lingerie lace dress - c/o Oh My Love (here), boots - Vagabond, lipstick - Bobbi Brown, Barry M High Shine (here)

Guess what? On Tuesday I spontaneously decided to go to Luxembourg to surprise my family, and here I am! Yesterday I was just relaxing and enjoying the home food but today I've been more productive. On Tuesday I also went to London during the day and bought lots of goodies which I can't wait to show you soon.
Regarding this outfit, I'm wearing my new Love fluffy sweater which is the best thing ever. I've already worn it so many times in so many combinations, as it is so soft and comfy! I decided to pair it with my Oh My Love lace dress as I felt it was burning a hole in my closet. I always thought it's a little bit too much, but with a sweater over it, it makes a great daytime outfit.

CASUAL

ASOS Sunglasses (here), Miss Selfridge jeans, ZARA blazer, ASOS top (here), c/o Lola Rose necklace, c/o ASOS gold ring, Accessorize earrings and Bobbi Brown lipstick.

Hey guys! Wore this look a couple of days ago, featuring some new bits and pieces. For example, how amazing is my Lola Rose rose gold engraved necklace? I was in for a surprise, because all they asked of me was my address. When I received the package, it was accompanied by a sweet note and a cute hold bag for the necklace. Definitely check them out! Loving this ASOS t-shirt - it was on sale for just £9! Sometimes it's best to go all casual, just throw on your favorite pair of jeans, simple t-shirt and blazer to smarten it up. Right?
I've got quite an exciting time ahead of me now, just need to plan and book everything, so that's what I'm busy doing these days. I will also go to London again today, can't wait!

LATELY

Hey blog! I'm back, after some of the most stressful and tiring weeks of my life. I finished my last exam yesterday and then had a lovely dinner and few drinks too many with the Luxembourg girls in London.  Waking up to my housemate's 8AM alarm clock (even though he's gone on holiday) was not the best start of this weekend, however getting packages with the sweaters above definitely made it better! Soon enough you will see these sweaters in action, not just displayed on my bed. You can see more photos of the ASOS sweaters here and here. The pink fluffy Love sweater is the softest thing ever!
You probably remember from my Wishlist a while back that I really wanted the Naked 3 palette. It was sold out EVERYWHERE until I found it on the Debenham's online website. So far I really like it, however I have always felt like I'm more of a gold eyeshadow girl, rather than pink (like this palette), so we'll see.

Finally my Access All ASOS welcome gift came some days ago too! I was surprised at how well they had picked out my gifts as I really do love fine rings more than anything. The nude lipstick by Barry M is something I wanted for a while but never wrote anywhere (did they just read my mind...?), so that was a great surprise too. It is the perfect shade, just enough to give the desired effect but not dark enough for it to look like you're wearing lots of make-up. ♥
