The Embroidered Skirt

If there's one guilty pleasure that I will put my hands up to, it is the show Made in Chelsea. I started watching the show in an effort to learn more about British culture and I suppose it was somewhat intriguing. The main reason I watch it though is because of some of my favourite characters. Lucy Watson being an obvious one due to her animal welfare actions, and Millie Macintosh for her style and launching her own collection have made the show worth watching over and over again. On a different note, they have both left now and I don't really know what my excuse is now... aaanyway. Can we please take a moment to appreciate this absolutely flawless Tobi bell sleeve top?! It's truly a dream, and I can't wait to wear it in the summer either.

I'm currently home in Luxembourg for the holidays, and at the start of January I'm flying to Denmark again to see my boyfriend (he's here in Luxembourg now, too). It's the longest holiday I've taken since starting my job at Deliveroo, and while it's amazing to get some time off, I'm weirdly missing it a lot too. I feel a sense of responsibility and keep checking in all the time, argh.

That's all for today, but I've got more posts coming your way very soon! Talk to you later.

The Floral Maxi Dress

Zara maxi dress, Deichmann heels, Jeffree Star Doll Parts liquid lipstick

Gooooood evening, awesome people. I've been aching to share this look from this summer, and finally found some time to process the photos. This maxi dress was a hand-me-down from my mum, who reluctantly bought it last winter, as per my recommendation (it worked out perfectly, you see). Hope you love the photos and thanks for coming! <3

H&M Studio AW16 pt. 2

Kristiana Vasarina UK fashion blogger H&M Studio AW16 printed long sleeve top How to wear double denim Luxembourg fashion blogger Vintage denim jacket, H&M Studio long sleeve top, Topshop skirt, Topshop boots (old), Zara backpack

Heyhey! Here's some photos we took of this cute H&M Studio top a couple of weeks ago in Luxembourg. I remember it was so hot that day - at 10AM when we went to shoot, the temperature had already reached 30 degrees, so it was actually pretty crazy. I really adore long sleeve tops, as I think they make you look more delicate and they are such an easy addition to any bottoms.

Last Saturday I celebrated my 23rd birthday in Copenhagen with my other half and it was really awesome. Kinda crazy that time runs so fast! I love being there, and I'm so glad I could get holiday off from work only 3 weeks in.

H&M Studio AW16

H&M hoodie, earrings and trousers, Deichmann heels

When I stepped into the H&M showroom this summer, I was amazed at all the embroidery and details the H&M Studio AW16 collection presented. My eye immediately caught sight of this hoodie, as it is so different to the conventional and sporty hoodies you'd think of when hearing the word. I also decided to go out of my comfort zone with these statement earrings. They sure felt heavy, but I found that I was quick to adjust! Generally I like to balance our statement items with more basic kind of pieces, so I paired them with these biker jeans and my new favorite Deichmann heels. The H&M Studio collection will launch on the 8th September in 200 stores and online.

In other news, I'm back in the UK and I've just spent a busy few days room hunting as I'm trying to find a place somewhat near my new job in London. I'm so excited and nervous about starting my job, I literally get butterflies in my stomach! I can't believe I'm finally a graduate and doing this adult thing.

Dainty Jewellery

Jewellery is always something I go on and off-again, depending on various stages in my life. There was a time I loved chunky rings and necklaces and was happily ready to spend £30 on a chunky and colorful necklace from Zara (such as here, here, whereas now I tend to go for minimal and dainty pieces that are versatile enough for different outfits. The heart and pearl dainty rings are from Happiness Boutique, which is a fun jewellery brand based in Berlin. One of their missions is to spread happiness, so they've done campaigns to spread this cause; one example is when the staff handed strangers lovely handwritten notes, which I thought was really cute! Just a quick one today guys, as I'm really busy house hunting in London, but tomorrow I'll be back with some new outfit photos! XO

Under the Apple Tree

When I saw this Brandy Melville top, it was love at first sight. Like most Brandy stuff, it is extremely lightweight, which to me seemed like a great solution in dealing with the spasmic summer heatwaves we get between the occasional autumn weather here in Latvia. In order to be more minimalistic with my wardrobe purchases, I've reduced my clothes shopping by a significant amount. It may also have something to do with being unemployed during the summer between graduating and starting my job, but the situation certainly helped the cravings. Having said that, Brandy Melville is a store I struggle to leave without making a purchase, because everything is just so darn comfy, right?!

In other news, I've secured a job in central London and thus will be moving there end of this month! Well, that's actually in 5 days. I'll be staying at my friends place until I find a suitable place to rent a room, so I've been busy searching the web lately. My main goal is to avoid the tube at all costs as it will mostly be a desk job, so I'm trying to find something that is walking distance to work (about 20-25 minutes). When I worked at House of Fraser, I equally loved and hated the morning/evening daily walk to and fro, and I'm longing for that feeling again.

Summer Wishlist

Man, I don't even remember the last time I posted a wishlist. The thing is that I simply haven't been shopping as much lately, and out of sight = out of mind, and all. However, that doesn't mean I haven't been building up a mental wishlist in my head. With the summer sales bombarding you everywhere you turn, it is easy to get discouraged at even entering a store. Hence my love for online shopping, where I can filter and click "next page" without going nearly as insane as I would in a physical store. I definitely often spend more time filtering my search preferences, than actually looking at the items on the page. I love the sense of control and organization online shopping enables us. Now a little bit on my wishlist...

I'm kind of obsessed with summer dresses lately, so I organized my wishlist as two outfits featuring these crochet/lace detailed dresses. The black dress is something I would definitely wear day to night, and I love its high collar and structured sleeves. It also kind of reminds me of the current trend of wearing a slip dress over a t-shirt. The white crochet dress, however, is one of those staple summer items in any wardrobe. I genuinely think anyone looks like an instant summer goddess in a white crochet dress, am I right?! Although both dresses are quite simple, with the right accessories they can definitely evolve into killer outfits. Speaking of the accessories, the grey shoulder bag from outfit 2 is one I've been opening and closing in my online tabs for weeks. You'd think that at 25EUR it's very affordable, but I'm currently in that weird just-graduated-but-havent-started-work-yet phase (I have got a job secured though, wohooo), so I can't justify it just yet. And those red/gold sunglasses? GIIIRL. I can't wait for my first payday already.

Which outfit do you prefer?

Pochette de Janette

Pochette de Janette Luxembourg fashion & beauty & lifestyle blogger
If there's one thing I can't resist, it's a good beauty box...i mean, pouch. Luxembourg women's magazine Janette recently surprised me with one of their summer packages, and after 3-4 weeks of trial I'm ready to deliver the verdict.

Pochette de Janette for me is always full of new discoveries. Last time, for example, I fell in love with the shampoo bar and the face mist (which I still use!). This time the parcel contained: Sachajuan hair conditioner, Oceopin maritime pine seed exfoliant (la poudre de graines de pin maritime), Monoprix bio almond oil for face, body and hair, Le Sourcil waterproof eyebrow pencil and Jeanne Lanvin perfume

Overall, the exfoliating powder (pictured last) is my favorite item. The way it works is that you put your existing shower gel in your hand and then tip in some of this powder to exfoliate. I'm not usually a sucker for "innovative" products that require various steps, but I thought this is a great idea, because there is so much greatness in such a tiny bottle. May I add, it was full to the top, which was a pleasant surprise (something that potato crisp companies could learn from...)

The other product I really loved was the Sachajuan hair conditioner. It's a swedish beauty brand, and if you look at their instagram, you will probably want to buy everything. Them swedes and their awesome aesthetics, right?! I've recently actually made a complete flip-over in my haircare routine, and this conditioner came at the right time. The majority of my adult and teenage life I've been shampooing my hair first, and then putting hair conditioner into the tips after. About a month ago I swapped the order of these steps, so now I start off by putting hair conditioner into the entirety of my hair, and let it sit while I do other stuff like exfoliate etc. After about 2-5 minutes I wash it out and shampoo my hair. My hair already feels stronger and less greasy!

If you live in Luxembourg, France, Belgium or Germany, you too can get your own Pochette de Janette, just click away and find what works best for you. Later!

Throwback to Spring

Zara shirt (similar here & here) - Topshop jeans, Topshop hat, Topshop Boots

Although cherry blossom season is over, it is safe to say it's my favorite time of the year for shooting photos. Everything just looks like something out of a fairy tale (with the help of a few good filters, of course). Me and Carmen shot this look on the day of David and Linda's workshop, which was all about how to brand your blog. I definitely want to attend more talks and workshops, as you can really gain great value from industry insiders.

As it was quite a relaxing occasion at Ready?! (awesome cafe just 10 min walk from Luxembourg town centre), I chose a really casual look, which I attempted to spice up with some of my fave accessories. This Topshop hat and pair of boots were both purchased on Depop, which I think is a great way to shop in a more environmentally responsible manner. I genuinely feel like a good summer hat can make any outfit complete, so it's definitely a must have accessory. Now that it's finally warm outside, I am hoping to find a large straw hat for the beach and sunny days (I blame you, Kendall).

Onto some personal news, I've finally graduated woohooo!!! I can't explain how crazy/busy these past few weeks/months have been, but finally this chapter is wrapped up and I'm eager to see what's next... Talk to you later!
